Privacy policy
Updated 31.10.2026
This policy explains what data the Hard To Submit app collects, why, where it is stored and how to ask for its deletion. The app and the data are the responsibility of Leonardo Theodoro (Hard To Submit), contact: contact@hardtosubmit.com.
Account data
- Name, username, email address and password.
- The password is stored only as a hash (argon2id), never as text.
- Accounts are created by the owner of the app; there is no open sign-up.
Profile photo
Optional. The photo you take or choose is reduced on the device and stored in private S3-compatible storage (Neon, USA). It is only shown through temporary links.
Training data
Seasons, arcs, workouts, sets (load, reps, time, distance), dates and times, personal records and competitions you enter. They are kept on your iPhone and synced to the server so they are not lost and show up on another device.
Garmin
Only when you connect your Garmin account in the app:
- With your authorization in Garmin Connect, the app receives the summary of each new activity: type, date and time, duration, distance, average heart rate and calories.
- Access tokens are kept on the server only, never on the device.
- The data is used only to show the activity in your history and to calculate your progress in the app.
- Disconnecting ends the access and deletes the tokens. Activities already imported stay in your history until you ask for their deletion.
Where the data is stored
- API on Render (USA, Virginia) and Postgres database on Neon (USA).
- Every connection to the server uses HTTPS.
- The login session is kept in the iPhone Keychain.
- Notifications (end of rest) are local, with no third-party push service.
What we do not do
- No ads.
- No sale of data and no sharing with third parties for marketing.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your account and all your data, including the photo and imported activities, by email at contact@hardtosubmit.com. We answer within 15 days.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
The date at the top shows the last update. Relevant changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
